【From Observer to Apache ShenYu Committer】

Hello everyone, I am Yong Wan. I am truly honored to be invited to become a Committer of the Apache ShenYu community. I am very glad to grow together with the community and contribute my part to the ShenYu project.

Discovering Apache ShenYu​

I discovered Apache ShenYu while researching API gateways. ShenYu is a high-performance, Java-based API gateway.

An excellent API gateway plays a vital role in any business system, serving as the critical entry point for external services. As I delved deeper into ShenYu, I was increasingly drawn to its outstanding architectural design, clean code style, and many other strengths.

Growing with the Community​

My open source journey with ShenYu started from learning and exploration. Throughout this process, I have grown significantly and gained a deeper understanding of sound architectural design.

The Apache ShenYu community is highly inclusive and open. Every new contributor can find opportunities to participate in open-source projects and gain both growth and enjoyment from contributing. For me personally, evolving from an observer of the open-source community into an active contributor has been a rewarding journey. Not only have I improved technically, but I have also experienced the joy of communicating and sharing with the community. I truly enjoy it!
